261 Apologies for Absence
Apologies for absence from the meeting were submitted by Cllrs A Heaton, D Kaye, K Thursby and G Turner. It was RESOLVED that the reasons for absence submitted by the above councillors be accepted as valid.
262 Declarations of Councillors’ Interests
There were no declarations of interest.
263 Minutes
It was RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 25 September be received.
264 Local Development Framework
The Clerk submitted correspondence from Kirklees Council giving an update on the Local Development Framework, specifically on the Local development Scheme which specifies the documents which make up the LDF and sets out the timetable for their production. The main change in the new LDS is that it provides more time for the preparation of the core strategy to take account of the Regional Spatial Strategy, the revised Kirklees community strategy and the outcome of studies due to be completed this year to improve the evidence base of the core strategy. A new Supplementary Planning Document on “The Provision of Affordable Housing in New Housing Developments” is being prepared and a period of consultation on this SPD is scheduled for early 2008. It was RESOLVED that the correspondence be noted.
265 Consultations on Planning Applications
The Clerk submitted correspondence from Kirklees Planning Services confirming that paper copies of planning applications would continue to be provided if required for planning consultation purposes and outlining the changes being implemented to improve the Council’s ‘e-planning’ capability. It was anticipated that this work would be completed by April 2008 and the Parish Council will be invited to view the systems when they are up and running. It was RESOLVED that the correspondence be noted.
266 Planning Notifications
Planning notifications were considered and observations made thereon.
267 Planning Decisions
The Clerk submitted a list of planning decisions. It was RESOLVED that these be noted.
217 Planning Appeal
The Clerk submitted details of an appeal by Mr & Mrs Hunter in relation to Planning Application No. 2007/62/91487 erection of detached double garage and store above at Manderlay House, 3 Manderlay Gardens, Emley. It was noted that the Council had objected to this application and it was RESOLVED that the report be noted.
