631 Apologies for Absence
Reasons for absence from the meeting were submitted by Cllrs D Kaye and R J Lockwood, and it was RESOLVED that the reasons for absence from the meeting submitted by the above councillors be accepted as valid.

It was RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 27 March 2007 be approved.

635 Planning Appeals
The Clerk submitted the following planning appeals: a) Application No. 2006/62/94066/E3 Mr & Mrs P Watson. Erection of two storey and single storey extension at The Cottage, Carr Hill House, Carr Hill Road, Upper Cumberworth – the council had had no objection. b) Application No. 2006/62/92288/E3 Dr Michael Graham Erection of 4 town houses adjacent to 44 Bilham Road, Clayton West. The Council had objected due to it being an inappropriate development for the site and concern about the height and size and effect on street scene. It was RESOLVED that the appeals be noted.
636 Footpath Diversions
The Clerk submitted correspondence from Kirklees MC confirming the diversion order on the footpath between Withyside and Wakefield Road, Denby Dale. It was RESOLVED that the report be noted.

Planning notifications were considered and observations made thereon.

Planning decisions were considered and it was RESOLVED that they be noted.
639 Reports
The Clerk submitted an invitation from the Yorkshire Rural Community council to a Rural Community Buildings Event on 27 April in Hepworth Village Hall from 1pm to 4pm. Since no member was able to attend, it was RESOLVED that the report be noted.
