9. Councillor Vacancies To note that the Electoral Services Manager will delay advertising the councillor vacancies in Emley and Clayton West Wards so that the whole timetable falls early in the New Year.
10. Community Governance Review To receive a verbal report by the Clerk of the joint parish/town councils meeting held on 21 October 2008. To approve joint letter to Kirklees Council concerning the scope of the review (to be tabled at meeting) and to approve the Parish Council’s submission to the Community Governance Review (enclosed)
11. Broadband To receive the analysis of the survey of broadband users in parts of the Parish (enclosed) and to discuss action arising therefrom.
12. Freedom of Information Act: New Model Publication scheme 2008 To approve the new publication scheme (to be tabled at meeting) (YLCA Advice Note No.22 enclosed as background information)
13. Communities in Control: Real People, Real Power, Codes of Conduct for Local Authority Members and Employees: A Consultation To give consideration to making a submission to the Department for Communities and Local Government consultation on the Code of Conduct (an abbreviated copy enclosed together with NALC Legal Briefing)
14. Working Party on Public Transport To receive correspondence from Stagecoach concerning the 95 bus service (enclosed) and from Metro concerning the 435/436 service (enclosed) and to receive an update report from the Working Party.
15. Denby Dale/Kirkburton LIG To receive a report from Cllr Brook of recent LIG meetings.
16. Remembrance Day To confirm arrangements for the laying of wreaths in Birdsedge, Clayton West, Denby Dale, Emley, Scissett and Skelmanthorpe.
17. Emley Show To consider a proposal from Kirkburton Parish Council to share a stall at the Emley Show 2009.
18. Collection of Garden Waste To consider a request from a local resident seeking support for the temporary provision of a skip in outlying villages to collect garden waste.
