Three nineteenth century weaver’s cottages near Golcar Parish Church are the home of the museum. See the life and work of the 19th Century in restored period rooms – the loom chamber with hand looms and a Spinning Jenny. The museum has featured many times on TV and is recommended by the Good Museum Guide. |

RSPB Dearne Valley is a wonderful place for you to explore wildlife all year round. From birdwatching to a whole programme of events many of them specially for families. RSPC Old Moor is near the junction of A6195 and A6023 at Broomhill, near Barnsley. It is well sign posted. |

Bamforths produced early comic postcards and sentimental cards in Holmfirth, which were sent to loved ones during the First World War. Bamforths story is revealed on 'Holmfirth Pier', a themed walkway. There are also shows of some of Bamforths early films. |

Recognisable on the Huddersfield skyline, Castle Hill has been occupied since the Stone Age. The Victoria Tower was built in 1898/9 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Queen Victoria’s coronation. Visitors can take in the panoramic views across Huddersfield and the surrounding countryside. |
