In the absence of the Chair and the Vice Chair, it was agreed that Cllr Waites chair the meeting.
954 Public Session
No members of the public raised any matters.
955 Chair’s Opening Remarks
The Chair welcomed visitors from Holme Valley Parish Council, Cllr Judith Roberts, Chair of the Planning Committee and Sally Barber, Administrative Support Officer who were attending the meeting to observe the Council’s procedure for looking at planning applications online.
956 Apologies for Absence
Reasons for absence were received from Cllr Sigsworth. It was RESOLVED that the reasons for absence submitted be accepted as valid.
957 Declarations of Councillors’ Interests
There were no declarations of interest.
958 Admission of the Public
It was RESOLVED that there were no items requiring the exclusion of the press and public.
959 Minutes
It was RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 16 December 2009 be received.
960 Supplementary Planning Document Affordable Housing (SPD2)
The Clerk submitted correspondence from Kirklees Council thanking the Parish Council for its comments on SPD2 and confirming the adoption of a supplementary planning document ‘Affordable Housing (SPD2)’ which ensures that affordable housing provision is made for persons who cannot afford to purchase homes on the open market. It was RESOLVED that the correspondence be noted.

Planning notifications and decisions were considered and observations made thereon.
