Jane was co-opted onto the Council about 2 years ago after attending meetings regularly as a member of the public. She successfully stood for Skelmanthorpe this year on the new Council and looks forward to 4 years of 'hard labour'. She has produced the Parish Council quarterly newsletter with husband John since its first edition and was pleased with the Focus on the Dale which was distributed to the majority of households in the Denby Dale Area last year. Away from the Council she loves acting and singing and performs regularly with the Huddersfield Amateur Operatic Society and Spot On Musical Theatre Company. She can also be seen struggling up Cumberworth Road regularly on her bicycle - that road gets steeper everyday!
