Reasons for absence were received from Cllrs R Allen and S Simpson. It was RESOLVED that the reasons for absence submitted be accepted as valid.

It was RESOLVED that there were no items requiring the exclusion of the press and public.
1116 Minutes
It was RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 31 March 2009 be received.
1117 Appeal Against Refusal of Planning Application
The Clerk submitted correspondence from Kirklees Council advising of an appeal lodged by Mr O Sharif against the refusal of planning application No. 2008/62/93548 for the erection of a therapy pool at New Laithe Farm, 190 Denby Lane, Upper Denby. It was RESOLVED that the correspondence be noted.
