10. Community Governance Review To approve submission to Kirklees Council Phase 2 Consultation and to approve letter to Kirklees Council concerning predetermination and bias of Ward Councillors (see enclosed report)
11. Denby Parish Community Action Group To receive a report on the £10,000 grant awarded to the Denby Parish Community Action Group by the Lottery Fund Awards for All (see enclosed report with recommendations).
12. Walkers are Welcome To discuss the Walkers are Welcome scheme (please bring background document which was circulated with the March agenda).
13. Sustainable Communities Act To discuss proposals to be submitted to Kirklees Council under the Sustainable Communities Act and to receive a progress report on the setting up of panels of representatives of local people.
14. Councillor Training To consider attending Councillor Training provided by the YLCA (previously circulated)
15. Broadband Steering Group To receive an update on the work of the Group and a report from the Clerk on the Next Gen Roadshow held on 24 March in Nottingham (enclosed)
16. Wood Street/Huddersfield Road Junction To receive a report from Cllrs Horton of the meeting with Kirklees Council and SCAG representatives.
17. Employment Act 2008 To receive NALC Employment Briefing on the 2008 Employment Act (enclosed)
18. Working Party on Public Transport To receive an update report from the working party.
19. Denby Dale/Kirkburton LIG To receive an update report from Cllr Brook.
20. Parish Plan Sub Group To receive an update report from Cllr Allen.

22. Forthcoming Meetings/Conferences/Training/Other Events 22.1 To give consideration to attending official opening of the Emley Moor ARLFC changing rooms and kitchenette at 6.45pm on 22 April at Scissett Middle School.
22.1 To note that the joint Kirklees/Parish and Town Councils Liaison meeting has been postponed to 29 April at Holme Valley Parish Council offices in Holmfirth, to agree who will represent the Council and to receive the minutes of the meeting held on 24 September 2008. (enclosed).
22.3 To consider attending the YLCA Joint Annual Meeting 2009 to be held on Saturday, 18 July 2009 at 2pm at Poppleton Community Centre, near York and to consider submitting a resolution for debate at the meeting. Resolutions must be submitted to YLCA by 31 May 2009
22.4 To note that this year’s joint YLCA/ERNLLCA/YHRTP Scarborough Conference will be held from 30 October to 1 November 2009 and to agree to decide the delegation at the May meeting.
