In the absence of Cllr Sigsworth, Cllr Allen took the Chair.

Two members of the public attended and spoke in opposition to Application No. 2009/62/91435.
1233 Declarations of Councillors’ Interests
Cllr Shaw declared a personal interest in Item 6 (Planning Application No. 2009/62/9435).

It was RESOLVED to bring forward Application No. 2009/62/91435 from Item 6.
1235 Planning Application No. 2009/62/91435
It was RESOLVED to oppose the application due to visual and residential amenity, with particular reference to the following points. All bar a few houses on Rectory Lane were built with local stone and the design, materials and size and scale of this proposed building would be completely out of character with the neighbouring properties. In addition, all houses in the area (apart from the clinic) have pitched roofs and again the proposed flat roof would be out of character with the local street scene. Finally, the council had concerns about the impact on existing trees.

Reasons for absence from the meeting were submitted from Cllrs T Sigsworth and K Waites. It was RESOLVED that reasons for absence submitted by the above Councillors be accepted as valid reasons.

It was RESOLVED that there were no items requiring the exclusion of the press and public.

It was RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 26 May 2009 be received.
